In Zeus’s embrace, Danaë, the caged Greek princess, conceived in stone’s cold womb by order of her father, Argos’ King Acrisio. She journeys across the Mediterranean’s azure tapestry, her prison bearing both chains and the seed of hope. This painted odyssey through the Hellenic isles resonates with her hopeful resolve, guiding her son Perseus toward life’s tranquil shores.
